Doctor Bios - Randy Muecke DDS,
Dr. Randy Muecke takes great pride in having
a contemporary dental practice where each
patient actively becomes involved in the
decision making process regarding their
dental care. By presenting their problems in
a clear and understandable manner, every
option available for treatment is presented
in a way where the patient can decide which
pathway to excellent dental health is best
for them.
The recent Surgeon General's Report on oral
heath stated that achieving and maintaining
excellent oral heath was a major facto in
achieving good long-term general heath. Dr.
Muecke's patient-centered, patient-directed
care model allows patients to become
knowledgeable oral health consumers and make
educated choices about their treatment and
the expected outcome.
Dr Muecke was one of the first dentists in
the U.S. to acquire an in-office CT X-ray
device to provide him and his patients with
a three-dimensional picture of their teeth,
jaws and supporting structures. Some of this
work has been done in conjunction with the
Georgia Tech Research Institute and has
resulted in the formation of DenTec, a
separate dental research division. Dr.
Muecke is especially proud of this
contribution to his profession.

dimensionally accurate information about my
patients has transformed how I diagnose,
develop a treatment plan and deliver care,"
states Dr. Muecke. Furthermore, he says,
"The value of this information is
self-evident to the patient. The teeth,
associated bone and gum tissue support
facial features. Changes in these structures
contribute to the appearance of an aging
face. Advanced treatment planning allows
proper restoration of dimension in these
structures lost due to attrition, disease
processes, and trauma. Done properly, good
dental restoration can make the patient look
much younger."
